Dr. Naveen Kumar Perumalla has obtained his Ph.D in Electronics and Communication Engineering from 103 years old Osmania University. He has authored two books, for undergraduate engineering students in the year 2006. He has more than 95 research publications to his credit at both, in National and International Journals, Conferences, Symposia etc, including in Top Science Citation Index (SCI) Journals. He has received “CHSN-2020: Young Researcher Award” at JNTU Kakinada, given by Chairman AP State Council for Higher Education, VC Rayalaseema University and VC JNTUK. Dr.NaveenKumar, has also received. “Sir CV Raman Memorial Award-2019”, on National Science Day 2019, and received several Best Paper Awards. He has successfully completed several research projects of National Importance such as from Space Applications Center, ISRO, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, World Bank Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) etc. and currently executing one major research project of ISRO. Dr.NaveenKumar, has established a new “Advanced GNSS Research Laboratory” in Collaboration with Space Applications Center, ISRO, Ahmedabad, in Department of ECE, Osmania University in the year 2017 and has State of the Art equipment/project of worth around Rs1Crore. He is also an expert Reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, Elsevier Advances in Space Research, IET Radar Sonar and Navigation International Journal, ACM Computing Survey, IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine, IETE Technical Review and many other IEEE/International/National Conferences/Symposia, Astrophysics and Space Science etc. He  has completed successfully his Professional Development Program (PDP) at IIM Raipur in the year 2019. He also visited several countries in connection with Knowledge transfer and interacted with many researchers from various reputed International institutions such as Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU), Tokyo, Japan; OTH University, Germany; Newyork State University, George Washington University and Syracuse University, USA; Universities in Kulalampur, Malaysia, CzeckRepublic, Italy, Vatican City, Thailand and Muscat, Oman, in connection with Knowledge transfer and MoUs. In Osmania University, he has held several administrative positions such as Additional Controller of Examination, Coordinating Officer(MoU(OU-ISRO)), Member of Departmental Research Committee, Member of Departmental Committee, Member of PhD admission Committee, Additional Director (Central Computing Centre) and Special Officer. He is a Member of various prestigious committees at State and National levels including RCI, DRDL, NGRI, NRSC, C-MET, APPSC, TS Social Welfare dept., Academic intuitions etc. He has organized several courses, workshops, seminars etc, for Scientists and Engineers working in Industries, R & D institution and academic Institutions. He has also organized Community service development programs in the areas of hardware and software aspects of computers. He has delivered a number of invited talks, guest lecturers in various defense organization and academic institutions. Under his guidance, 11 Ph.D scholars are carrying out their research work and 2 are in the pipeline for their thesis submission. He is also Vice Chancellor’s nominee for several committees at University level. He has over 22 years of teaching and research experience. Currently, he is Director (Infrastructure) at University level and Professor in Dept of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He is a Fellow of IETE and life member of several professional bodies such as IEEE (USA), ISTE, IoE, ISOI, BES, OGA, ISC and IACSIT (Singapore). He is also the Executive Committee member and Chairman (R & D and IC) of IETE and INCA for Hyderabad sections. His research areas of interest include Global and Regional Navigation Satellite Systems, Satellite based Augmentation System and Ground based augmentation system.
