• D. Jitesh Krishna, S. Kavya Geetika: “Modelling and Analysis of Disc Brake Mounted on the Axle of a Train”Indo Japan Bilateral Symposium on Futuristic Materials Manufacturing, IIT Madras during 16th -17th July. This is a very prestigious conference, jointly organised by IIT Madras and Ministry of Education, Japan.

• SAE SUPRA 2019: A team of 25 students will be participating in a event wherin they have to design built fabricate a racing car and race with fellow students in buddh international circuit, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The captain is Mr Jitesh Reddy and Faculty Advisor Dr V Uma Maheshwar.

• SAE AERO DESIGN 2019: Three teams of seven members each are participating this event to be scheduled in the month of july in Chennai.

• Efficycle 2018: Efficycle is a 3 wheeled vehicle driven by both Human and electric power. It is an event conducted annually by SAE India during the month of October, a team (Technocrats) of ten 2nd year students represented department. This year captain was Akash from 2nd year. The vehicle was placed at 37th position.
  

• Efficycle 2019: Efficycle is a 3 wheeled vehicle driven by both Human and electric power. It is an event conducted annually by SAE India during the month of October, a team (Technocrats) of ten 2nd year students represented department. This year captain is Aravind from second year. Two students from EEE dept are participating apart from department students.

• Efficycle-2017: Efficycle is a 3 wheeled vehicle driven by both Human and electric power. It is an event conducted annually by SAE India during the month of October, a team (Technocrats) of ten 2nd year students represented department. They designed, Fabricated efficycle at the garage facility available in the dept. team consisted of Abhinav, Srinivas, Abhijeet, Abhiram, Wong, Vaibhavi, Jahnavi, Vihasit, Ramya, pavan venkat . The event was organized by SAE India and conducted at lovely professional university, Punjab. The faculty advisor for the event was Mr E. Madhusudan Raju.

• BAJA-2016: A team of 25 aspiring students spanning from those in second year to fourth year have taken part in the most sought after Engineering design competition, "BAJA SAE INDIA 2017" held in Pithampur , Indore , Madhya pradesh in February , 2017 under the fitting name of "Dirt Rider" with the ever supporting, Mr. V. Uma Maheshwar as their faculty advisor. As a part of the competition they've designed , fabricated and tested a single seater, four wheeler "All Terrain Vehicle (ATV)". They've managed to secure 108th position overall in the competition out of 450 participating teams from across the country. Better still, they secured 3rd position in the country for their business presentation in the same competition.

• GOKART-2016: An aspiring team  of 20 boys  from the second and  third year named  “TEAM ASPHALT”, have taken part in the India’s biggest karting championship, “NATIONAL KART RACING CHAMPIONSHIP(NKRC)- 2016” held at ‘Mohites Racing Academy’, Kolhapur, Maharashtra on 29th  September, 2017 with Mr. V. Uma Maheshwar as their faculty advisor. As a part of the championship they’ve designed, analyzed and fabricated a Go-kart  named “ASPHALT V3” .They’ve managed to secure 60th position overall in the competition out of 175 participating teams  from across the country

• Electric Solar Vehicle Competition: Team Helios participated on ESVC event conducted at Vishnu engineering college , Bheemvaram AP in the month of April 2017 orgainsed by Imperial society of innovative engineers. The team ended up as on among top 30 teams out of total 133 teams which participated and also won Go Green award. 25 students from 3rd and 2nd years were part of this team. It had three students from EEE and one student from ECE department. The team  consisted of Tarun, joel manohar, noman ahmed, osama, syed yosuffudin, Mustafa, monika, lakshmi, bhanurekha, fayaz, srija, sairam reddy, prasanth, sri charan, karthik, pavan, rubadas, awais, yosouf imitaizauddin, umar baser, balaji(EEE), srivatsava(EEE), avinash (EEE), mohan(ECE)

The event was organized by SAE India and conducted at lovely professional university, Punjab. The faculty advisor for the event was Mr V Uma Maheshwar.

• GOKART 2014-15 : 25 students of 2nd and 3rd year participated in BAJA-GO KART 2015, Team ASPHALT X -125  secured 9th position overall and 5th in endurance test  in NKRC (National Kart Racing Championship) held at Bhopal in January 2015.
